Ravenscroft - True NightmareRavenscroftRavenscroft - True Nightmare by KittyHawks-Serenity
A World of Warcraft Poem
by Kitty Hawks
Occurring during the fall of Gilneas:
In dark and silence sleeps the town, people dreaming; their eyelids down.
In the skies a shady moon, through the gardens sneaks a coon.
A breeze was blowing, very soft, all around the manor Ravenscroft.
The nobles in slumber oh so sweet, as every night it would repeat.
An owl, so watchful, in the tree, the smallest motion she would see.
She did some flutter with her wings, there, down there are looming things.
With open eyes there was the Owl, spotting creatures in covert prowl.
To safety now, quick, she knew, with strongest flutters away she flew.
Through the streets there rolled growls, sniffing and snarling; and there were howls!
Elizabeth, startled from her dream, very confused yes, it would seem.
With sharpened senses she now would harken, fears increasing, her hope would darken.
There again, these ghastly sounds; it was as if it came from hungry hounds!
